Default Mishimoto Releases 2008+ Subaru WRX Silicone Throttle Body Hose

Hey guys,

We just released our new silicone throttle body hose for the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX! Check out the specs and images below.

Subaru WRX Silicone Throttle Body Hose, 2008+

  • 100% silicone, heat-resistant embedded fibers
  • Installs in under an hour
  • Direct fit
  • Increased pressure tolerance
  • Available in black, blue, or red
  • Reuses stock hardware
  • Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty

The factory rubber throttle body hose on the 2008+ Subaru WRX is prone to failure, especially on vehicles running increased boost pressures. Mishimoto has developed a high-strength silicone replacement hose that provides increased pressure and heat tolerance, thanks to its 100% silicone construction. This hose features five layers of silicone with heat-resistant embedded fibers that withstand substantial boost pressure. The hose is equipped with a position indicator, making installation a breeze and possible in less than one hour. The Mishimoto Subaru WRX Silicone Throttle Body Hose is available in black, blue, or red, and it includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty, ensuring superior product quality and craftsmanship.

This silicone hose is an ideal replacement for the OEM unit which is likely to deteriorate over time and has proven to fail with increased boost pressure. Please let me know if you have any questions!

no questions, $90 seems a bit steep for a hose, but oh well

We had a very nice WRX in the garage on Friday for some test fitting and dyno runs for new product development. After just 20K miles we found the throttle body hose on this car in rough shape. Time for an upgrade!

Might be a silly question, but if Subaru sees this, will they bust my chops about warranty?

It is fairly unlikely that this throttle body hose will result in any issues from your dealership or denial of a warranty claim. Of course this varies from one dealership to another. It may be wise to contact your dealership and ask your service writer. This would be your safest bet, however I am fairly confident the installation of this hose will not result in any problems.

I have purchase and ready to install I notice that on the video the rubber that surrounded on both end of the factory throttle hose was not used. But on the site said to reuse all factory pieces to install the mishimoto throttle hose. Do I resuse the the two rubber on my mishimoto before install?

Awesome! The rubber on the ends of the factory hose do not need to be reinstalled. Our hose will slide directly on to both the intercooler and throttle body to create a leak-free seal.

Feel free to follow-up with any additional questions, good luck with the installation.
