Thumbs up Phil Goes 12.01@117.2

Saw it last night and figured I'd blow the lid off since I was a witness

I know he's still on the stock block, trans, clutch and runnin' a VF-30. Beyond that he can give the details.

Congrats again to TXS on what I'm pretty sure is the new record.

Default just missed 11 by a whisker

Cool!!

You just missed an 11 sec pass by a whisker. Makes you want to cry when you get that close.

Very good times, can't wait for details or better yet another run this week end.

While i didn't see the run in question and i doubt that he had anywhere as good of a 60 foot on this run, i know he hit a 1.64 60 foot on his 3rd run of the night, but the run didn't go as planned and it was downhill from there.

Yep, I'm tired of waiting. What ever happened to posting the results the night you run it?

My guess is nitrous because isn't that 10mph more than before (And I don't see him squeezing 100more hp out of his already awesome setup).

Details!

We are not giving details for several reasons;

1. We were using these runs to develop 2 new products comming from turboxs that frankly we are not ready to talk about on a public BBS just yet.

With the recent dyno results and 1/4 mile times we've seen both seem to be working quite well, as noted this is about 8-9mph up from Phil's best.

2. We are trying to avoid the the whole "it can't be done because of (plug your own math in here)."

In any case great job Phil!

Well, that is BS. Who cares?! People just want to know what works and what doesn't. Ignore the flames (or mods should handle it). As a TXS customer, I really want to stay in the loop, so to speak.

Default R&D is good

I think it is perfectly reasonable for them to hold new products under wraps.

Keep up the good work guys. It is nice just to know those trap speeds are possible.

A little mystery keeps things interesting.

If you read the storys of major successful race teams whether road course, or drag strip, one of the major parts of the game is trying to figure out who is doing what , and how.
Not to mention the long standing tradition amoung serious match racers of non-disclosure.

There are a lot of folks out there that don't talk about what they are running. Sort of a "If you want to see whats under the hood, beat me to the finish line thing".

Larry

Not to mention that in the process of trying to figure out the how and what, you just might think up some trick no one has thought of yet.

Making people scratch their heads is good!!

It also sounds like something went wrong too...

"i know he hit a 1.64 60 foot on his 3rd run of the night, but the run didn't go as planned and it was downhill from there."

Sounds like something broke or we would have seen an 11 sec pass with that one...1.64 is an awesome launch
Maybe too good for the stock trans and clutch??
Great run with the 12.01....congrats

Well, the EJ20 still has some catching up to do in the U.S. with it's old rival the 4G63. Really nice to see some awesome progress. I will be curious what it is as well.

Well i say keep the specific product announcements to yourself - thats reasonable and expected - why blow the wraps of the new chip devise before your ready ???

But why not post the time slip details ?? How can that be devluging info on your secret products ???

Anyway - I say absoultely NOS - b/c I see no way to make the mega HP leap needed IF they stuck with the same vf30 turbo

In any event - nice run Phil and good luck

As Nathan and gang prob know through the grapevine - I just installed a T3/T4 turbo and 46 mm Tial extrenal wastegate . . . . just need to get the custom intake tube made and then I'll be making my own run at 11.99 territory

I'll be at the battle of the imports - E;town on July 6 - 7 - - why don't you turboxs guys come by and we can see who gets to lay title to the real bragging rights !

Too mae they came so damm close - - thats very very close!
