Default OT: how to connect cable to a monitor.

My sister has recently gone back to school and is living a dorm..... with a small desk.

She already has a lcd monitor with both the regular VGA imput, DVI and hdmi.
The dorm has regular cable (not digital, just a coax).

so, how can we convert the coax to one of the above inputs....

I assume there is also a computer attached to the monitor? If so, a TV tuner is what you need.

One can get a simple little stick with usb on one side, coaxial cable on the other side. I have not used the usb types, but know others who have - and have got relatively good results.

There may well be other options, I am by no means overly technically inclined...
