Default Installed Weapon R Intake, Car won't idle

I installed a Weapon R Intake today to my 2007 2.5i and I'm having an issue with idling. The car won't idle when I depress the clutch while slowing down / stopping. It just turns off.

Here's what I did.
I disconnected the battery and left the domelight on to exhaust whatever charge was left in the system while I worked on the intake to reset the ECU.

The install was straight forward. Every hose was connected properly and the MAF sensor was installed in the correct orientation.

I honked the horn, pressed the brake, hit the hazard switch to make sure the system was cleared.

Reconnected the battery, turned on the ignition. The engine had to crank about 10-12 times before the it turned over... Once it did, it failed to idle. Turned the ignition again and this time it idled fine.

I left the car running for 10 minutes without using any other power source or playing with the throttle.

Then i took it out for a drive. The car runs fine, just as before. I didn't detect a major power loss (or gain for that matter, haha). No misfire, no CEL's.

But when I depress the clutch and slow down to approach a corner at a stop light, the rpm drops (like is usually does)... but all the way down to 0. Usually, it will pick itself up after 750. But it doesn't.

The car had a tune up a week ago.

There seemed to be others having the same problem with the engine failing to idle when the RPM suddenly drops but I haven't seen a solution to 07 models. The previous-04 models had a senor gasket they could change out but I don't have one of those.

Suggestions?

First off, when you reset the ecu like you did with pulling battery terminals, you need to let the ecu "initialize" itself for at least 5 seconds before you start. Thats why it cranked over 10-12 times before starting. You WILL need a maf re-scale with the intake. Read stickies at top of this section.

By the way... what does this guy do?

I had to take it apart to install the intake and am wondering if this is causing the problem.

Just keep that plugged in. If you unplug it you will get a CEL, For what? who knows its just a jumper connection. Also covered in stickies at top xD
