Default Gave it a tune up and now it wont stay running

Car - 99 Impreza Outback Sport 2.2L SOHC MT

Car had P0170 fault code for fuel trim malfunction so I gave it a tune up.
New air filter , plugs , PCV , fuel filter , oil change .
Car started up in fast idle then dropped and died .
try and start it back up and it starts hard then dies right off.
If I give it gas it bogs down instantly and dies.
If I feather the throttle up to 3k rpms itll stay up there until I let off .
Smells uber rich so I cleaned the MAF.
Same result.
Unplugged the MAF and it ran and idled OK but still smells slightly rich.
No codes are coming back but then I havent been able to get the car running long enough to see if a code reoccurs.
Bad MAF ?
I unplugged the upstream O2 sesnor to see if it would run and no avail.
unbolted the exhaust mani to test to see if it was a plugged cat - no avail.

Hmmm..... help ?

Make sure you hooked the fuel hoses back up properly. The one coming off of the filter should go to the top hard line on the manifold.

Vacuum leak somewhere. Spray starter fluid around gaskets/areas of vacuum to see if idle changes.
