Default COBB Tuning AccessPORT for 2011 STI Available Now!!

The COBB Tuning AccessPORT for the 2011 Subaru STI is now available from COBB Tuning and all COBB Tuning Dealers and ProTuners. The AccessPORT for the 2011 STI is the only hand-held ECU reflash and interface device available for the 2011 STI allowing enthusiasts to instantly increase and monitor the performance of their vehicles! The AccessPORT is completely plug-and-play with Stage1 and Stage2 calibrations pre-loaded and ready for install!

POWER. FLEXIBILITY. CONTROL.

The AccessPORT is the industry leading OEM ECU flashing, managing and monitoring assistant. Unlock power hidden within the ECU by replacing conservative factory settings with more aggressive calibrations. The result is impressive gains in torque and horsepower while maintaining a high degree of safety. The AccessPORT comes with pre-installed maps that are optimized for common performance modifications.

Tuning flexibility ranges from simply loading one of the included performance maps designed for common modifications, all the way to complete custom map authoring using our powerful AccessTUNER software. Extract maximum power from virtually any modification while retaining the drivability and sophistication inherent in the OEM ECU.

Boost Select new for 2011 STI!

The 2011 STI AccessPORT also includes “Boost Select” functionality built into the maps. These new maps allow the SI-Drive to select two different boost settings. Boost can be increased in varying increments from “S” mode to “S#” mode using the SI-Drive knob on the fly giving the control to go from “Driving Miss Daisy” to “Bullit” performance with the twist of a knob!

I've got an AP-SUB-003 that says it has firmware 1.5.0.5 1.3387. I bought it with the intent of updating the firmware to work with my 2011. When I run the updater, it gets stuck on the downloading file size information 21/21 and doesn't go any further. I checked the firmware history and the firmware listed before the 1.6.xxxxxxx isn't the same.

tl;dr HELP!

Try uninstalling your copy of updater and manager and re-installing. Can you capture the log from the installer and email that to us? That will tell us what is going on with your updater. We just updated a SUB-003 here and it worked perfectly. What firmware version does your AccessPORT display now? The firmware should be 1.6.3.0-357.

With Boost Select what is the psi in Intellegent "I" mode?

Also in stock form the throttle sensitivity is reduced or enhanced depending on your setting. Does that happen with boost select?

Bump. The calibration notes for the boost select maps list boost targets for "S#" and "S" but not "I". Would also be great to know the throttle response curves in each of these modes.

totally new here so apologies all around for my ignorance.

just got my 2011 sti and also just purchases the cobb ap to do stage 1.

i did not install anything yet as i am still breaking in the car (1,000 miles).

can anyone comment on the longevity of the engine with cobb tuning stage 1? i plan on keeping my car for many years (at least 10) and dont want to destroy my engine for some more HP today.

Does anyone have long term reviews on reliability of the car after tuning?

any info would be appreciated.

thank you

Many believe that the Cobb AccessPort Stage I OTS tune will not only smooth and increase the power/torque curves from your motor, but will do so with an added margin of safety when compared to the OEM tune. There is reason to believe that the factory tune is too lean, encouraging detonation.

AccessPort is a great product.

ok cool. not sure what OTS means.

just got port today and plugged it in to see its features.

i guess after break in i simply just add stage 1 93octane and call it a day?

do the other modes really do anything: valet, gas savings, anti-theft?

thank you again for the help

OTS=Off The Shelf, meaning a generic map not tuned specifically to your car. I wondered what this meant for a while myself, I couldn't find it in the Acronym List, to which I've now added it

My AP is arriving on Friday, so I'll post some results about the '11 STi stage1 93 map then. Not many people seem to have tried it yet, though there are dyno graphs you can find on Cobb's wesbite. Speaking of which, it looks like Cobb either let their domain name expire or the DNS server is down; there is currently an 'Under Construction' page being displayed from Network Solutions!
