Default Cut wires for clock harness: no power to radio, map/dome lights etc

I cut the wires to the clock harness as I was going to use them to wire up my gauges I'm installing. Haven't installed the gauges yet, but noticed today that I have no power to the radio or the wires for the clock. Also, the open door indicator on the cluster no longer comes on, and the illumination and sweep of the needles on my STi cluster is very delayed. Are all these things related, or does the clock need to be hooked up and working for the rest of these things to be?

EDIT: Problem solved. I'm dumb.

Check your fuse. There is a specific fuse for the radio/clock. My fuse blew when I was installing my gauges using the clock wiring because I had the dome light on.

If you cut straight across all the wires at once you blew a fuse. Remember there is constant 12V and ground in that harness.

Sorry, forgot to mention that the fuse did not blow. That was my first thought too, but I checked it and it's fine, there is still power to the fuse as well.

A lot of folks mistake a bad fuse for a good one. I suggest you check power on each side of the fuse to verify it is good if you haven't done that already. If the fuse really is ok then check the wire connection to the fuse that runs to the load and make sure that is connected ok.

Ok so here's where I'm at: The fuse is good, however to completely eliminate that variable I replaced it with a known working 15A fuse. I get power to both sides of the fuse. I also have power to the ACC wire of the clock harness. Here are the current issues:

- No power to the radio (aftermarket unit, checked the in-line fuse and it wasn't blown)
- No power to dome or map lights
- Open door icon on cluster doesn't illuminate
- Doors don't lock automatically when I put the car in gear anymore
- STi cluster needles illumination and sweep is delayed (?)

I checked all the harness connections under the dash, they are all good. Is it possible I had a faulty fuse which didn't blow, and thus I shorted something out? Is there a relay or something responsible for all these items that I could check?

Thanks

Have you checked fuses in both fuse boxes? You may have blown one that you haven't checked yet.

Turns out it was a fuse in the engine compartment . I'm retarded.

On a side note, any idea why it caused a delay of the needle illumination and sweep on the cluster? That and the fact that it was interfering with the automatic door lock was causing me to doubt it was a fuse. Either way, problem solved. Thanks guys.
