OMGHi2U Would a new 2.5 block have these markings?

Hey Guys,

Would a new motor have a smudge on the inside on the cylinder wall.
Or would it have black gasket material in the plug areas?

Also thinking about it..... It was spun and tested. Could they possibly made those marks when they balanced it?

Thanks,
Chuck III

What are you smoking Chuck. The only thing in you picture seems to be where you wiped a finger across the honing of the cylinder wall. Balancing has nothing to do with honing marks in the block.

those marks are called cross hatching from honing which could be from the factory or sum1 could have done it, nothing to be alarmed about and the other mark is a finger smudge id guess lol
