Default Insight on 257 to 207 swap

Hey,

Going to try to keep this as brief as possible.. And I appreciate any responses or input given! I currently have a 1996 2 Dr GC model L with a complete 2007 STi swap. The swap was done with a donor car and all interior/drivetrain/brakes/wiring is from the 07.

I currently have a Perrin GT3076R .82 Kit on the motor with supporting mods - Headers, Parallel fuel lines and upgraded rails etc, FMIC...

My car is making 340/365 on 15psi and 365/395 on 19psi. Currently she runs great, and I've been pondering on the idea of building or swapping to a V7 207. Ideally my thoughts are to sell my motor complete to recover most of the money in order to pay for the new engine set, allowing me to have a reliable 400whp high revving, factory forged motor. (I do not need to exceed that power in the future - High boost on current set up is plenty).

My questions are:

-Will my perrin kit and borla UEL headers bolt on 207?

-I had my intake manifold powdercoated and tgvs deleted - will 257 mani bolt on 207? if yes, assume i can keep ID1000 and current fuel setup.

-Is this a close to plug and play swap? use current harness in vehicle on new motor, I am running drive by wire, not cable

-Will my 6 spd trans and exedy clutch kit work with 207?

-I have a V3 AP and will sell and go open source. ECU required from 207 i'm assuming?

-Are there any real issues such as AVCS or anything I need to be aware of? Is this swap fairly straight forward?


I've been doing alot of research and these are my main questions I'd like to know about before I decide to go this route, any input is greatly appreciated.
