Default new scooby owner

New scooby owner!!! Just bought my 98 Subaru 2.5RS two months ago. Been lurking around on the forum for parts =P and decided to introduce myself. Owned several civics before (Also a ruckus owner =) met a VIC member at the W.S.C.E. Rally last weekend!), long story short... I went to watch a Yankees vs Mariners game in Seattle and my civic got stolen... (outside of safeco field )

But Anyways... the previous owner :
- USDM Front End
- crappy grill
- 04 sti brembos in the front
- 18'' 5zigen wheels (which are for sale !!!) they are waay to big
- some aftermarket coilovers
- kenwood deck
- dynamatted the trunk

Switch the grill back to oem!

I got a set of oem springs and struts from rs420's roommate to replace the coilovers which are to bumpy plus the 18s was rubbing everything...

Ordered a set of Rota SDR 17'' and picked up a set of Potenza re070 from bikergreen

picked up a ver6 sti spoiler from some local dude, tried installing it but there weren't any screws ...

Here's the car when I first got it!

There seem to be some whinning from the rear... wonder if its the wheel bearings ?!

Old Ride...

Curious to find out how much you want for the wheels. How much tread? PM me.

Some day I wish I had kept my GM6. But I can never do the things such as carry a new dryer still in it's packaging in the Impreza. :P

Gosh, I didn't know my wheels are dead copy of 5zigen... (probably way heavier than yours...)
I have the exact same style rims in universal bolt pattern in silver...
Oh, the embarrassment...

nice ride

the whining could be the rear end. did the previous owner install subframe locking bolts? rear diff mounts?

or if the diff has been swapped the lash might not have been set properly.

check the gear oil level too.

some people think whining sounds cool! like me. my PS pump whines, my tranny whines, my rear end whines... i whine. errr ?

welcome to the club!

Not entirely sure, at first I checked if it was the rotor and pads rubbing cuz the there was uneven wear on the pads but that wasn't the case...

have no clue what the subframe locking bolts or any rear diff stuff...
