Default USB connectivity in 2011 STI

I read the USB port comes standard in WRX and STI. But mine seems to be missing. I talked to the dealer and they said it was b/c i got the NAVI. This doesnt sound right to me.

Anyone else with the NAVI on the WRX or STI missing the USB port?

Could it be possible that the navigation kit eliminates the USB function? Similar thig happened with the navigation kit on 2008 Sti's not being able to have the iPod kit ( or was it the the Xm kit)

Wondering this same thing. It seems unfortunate and odd.

Yep the Navigation system has different inputs available. They are the same as the 08-10 models.

I have some questions for you since you have the factory navigation

1. obviously there is no way to connect an iPhone through usb unless you get the iPod cable, right? do you know if that is a simple connect, or is it a lot of wiring?
2. can you turn off the block that keeps you from playing a dvd or dialing a phone number while the car is moving? does the same block apply to the yellow (video) port on the RCA inputs?
3. how do you like the factory navigation setup as a whole?
4. what other information/things does the unit do besides navigation?
5. did you lose the steering wheel control for bluetooth with the navigation?

It depends on where you bought your car. In Canada we get pioneer avic ( crap) and we get both aux and USB but not component input.
