Default What year is my engine?

Long story short, after taking my block to a machine shop, I discovered the block was pretty much shot. So I purchased a new one. The only problem is, there are a few parts that differ from my original '98 engine, and I need to figure out what year I'm dealing with so I can replace a few parts.

Here are a few pictures. Any ideas?

valve cover

tensioner assembly

This is where the thermostat goes on the water pump. You can see it faces forward, whereas on the old engine, it faced downward.

edit: Woops, forgot to mention that it's still a DOHC EJ25. (if the 4 Cam, 16 Valve didn't tip you off, ha.)
