Default Whats up with my mirror?

Ill let the picture speak for its self. It is a self dimming mirror, and it is NOT leaking/still dims. I know I need a new one, but I wanted to know if anyone has seen this happen. Also where can I source a new one?

They do that after a while. The reflective surface under the glass gets dirty and starts to peel.

Live with it or replace it.

I've never seen such a thing on the entire mirror.

Mine did it in the corners shortly after getting the car, I believe it was actually mildew (yuck). A little spritz of brake cleaner on a clean rag took it right off.

What is happening is the reflective tint of the of the mirror is breaking down. Using chemical cleaners can damage the mirror and cause this to happen. Either that or you got a bum mirror.
