Stage 2 STi 93oct MPH record?

I figured I could go a little faster once it got colder out so I gave it another go today at Evo vs STi day at raceway park. it was 40 degrees and the car felt real strong. Traction turned out to be an issue but I did manage to net a pretty impressive trap speed.

Im pretty sure this is the highest trap speed for a stage 2 93oct STi. If I didn't spin through 1st an 2nd, the car could have gone into the 11's on 93 pump! Let me know what you guys think!

The highest trap on 93 I've seen prior to this was 112.1. Almost 115 is crazy for 93.

This is the guy that trapped 112 mph. In the bottom link however, he added some things and got retuned on 93 as well as e85. It doesn't seem like he's been to the track since, but I'd imagine he'd be around your trap, if not a little higher if he had the same conditions as you (On 93 that is. Obviously on e85 he'll be even faster).

I did 111+ mph back in 2006 with only 19.5psi on 93.

Damn, thats a fast stock turbo. Any changes to your setup from the last time? Picking up 4mph is pretty substantial.

I got the car weighed in once when I got a corner balance and the full weight was 3300lbs. Im coming for your record 4Warned With these traps this car will go 11.80-11.90 if I can find some traction!

OP, did you log your IDC's during those runs? Still have stock injectors? I wonder what they were. I put down 314/360 on TheShopCT's dyno and I'm maxing mine in 40 degree weather.

my IDC is at 99% via cobb ap. they are maxed out

"Stage 2" is a bit of an understatement. lol

I always thought stage 2 was just a tbe and a tune. Not every Bolt on besides a turbo and injectors. Still congrats in the great trap speeds and times.

pretty much all stage2 07+ STI run 90-100% IDC, variations are mostly due to the WOT AFR

04-06 STi's are 100-110% since they have smaller injectors.

This is where it is debateable. I usually go by:

Stage One is tune ONLY.

Stage Two is anything short of a turbo swap.

Stage Three is turbo swap.

Good **** dude, that is some serious MPH on 93.

Aside from Mikey when I tuned his old 07, I don't remember anyone trapping that high on straight 93. 112-113 is a "fast 93/vf car" your almost at 115!

Pretty close to my best on 93/vf(XTi) but I had a built motor at the time.

So if the op went to e85 then he is still stage 2 just on e85? Same with adding meth? Or race gas. I guess that's fair just always thought stg 2 wasn't everything short of turbo.

Awesome man! I too hope to hit that 11.8 mark in the spring.

Our mod lists, weight, and power levels are very comparable. Should be good for some friendly track rivalry

I would be very careful at those power levels on stock injectors....

I plan on going back out before the season is over, I have a plan to get the traction that I need

Heck yes!

Injector Dynamics 1000 injectors & DW65C drop in pump (highly recommended)

I run a South Bend Stage 2 "endurance" clutch at the moment but it will be swapped for a stage 3 over the winter as it won't hold the new torque numbers I am making now

I am also in the market for a set of hoosiers

i believe the stages actually started with Vishnu way back in the day...

some companies use it to sell packages....so "stages" from different companies dont always include the same mods. sometimes a "stage 4" was a stock turbo with headers and fmic....sometimes once you're past staged2 that means an upgraded turbo.

when not referencing a specific companies packages, stage2 basically covers any setup/octane utilizing a stock turbo.

Which is kinda funny because there is a stock turbo record too. Are forged pistons still stage 2? Stages were/are just marketing.

stg3 stock location upgrade
