Goin' Back Old Skool

Default EVO powered Go-kart for sale 0-60 2.8 seconds

Someone should buy for Miller cheap track car.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=270633898638

Up for auction is my autocross car that has been dubbed “The Beast”. Previous owner primarily drag raced it and the setup reflects this. He was able to come very close to FTD in local autocross events though. With very limited seat time, I was unable to truly capitalize on all this thing has to offer. Previous owner spent upwards of $25,000 building it over the course of 3-4years. This could possibly be street legal in certain states. All wiring for headlights and taillights are in place. If you love the LoCosts or unique Super 7's this might be for you!
This thing is not for the faint at heart; it's wicked fast. In fact, I was contemplating on having it de-tuned.

Details:

Square Tube frame chasis
Aprox 1600lbs total
Custom built 2.0L DSM/EVO motor
Forged Pistons/Rods
DSM AWD transmission (car is not AWD)
Quaife LSD
E-85 fueled
Methanol Injection
16g turbo
Approx 335 rwhp/375 rwtq
Redlines at 8200rpms
2-Step
Line-Lock
Setup for Nitrous (no bottle)
Short track steering rack
All other components are from 1st gen dsm (brakes/axles/etc)
SCCA Formula Swift spec tires (Hoosier R25b; 23.5xR15 rear) Details at http://www.hoosiertire.com/specrr.htm
2 Mickey Thompson Drag Radials for rear
6 rims (all w/ tires mentioned above)

Previous Owner's drag times:
0-60 in 2.8s (faster than any production car including the Bugatti Veyron!!)
1/8th mi in 6.87 @ 104mph; estimated at approximately 10.5 @ 150mph+ in ¼ (never done; 1/8th only)

Delivery: We can negotiate delivery, but as of now, I'm not willing to deliver past a 2hr drive from Jacksonville, FL.

UPDATE 09/7/2010: I charged the battery last night, put it back in after work today and she fired right up! I took it around the neighborhood and it still spins the tires in 2nd gear all day long.

UPDATE 09/12/2010: The reason why I'm selling this is that my girlfriend has started getting interested in racing and she is too scared to drive this. She needs to learn how to drive a manual gearbox, and this isn't exactly a learner's vehicle. I'd like to get the gf more into racing pretty bad, so this needs to go in order to get something she can handle.
This is TURN-KEY and READY TO RACE!

Even more potential if aero was redone in glass or carbon and removed all that aluminum treadplate and put in some type of balasts.

It looks like it's straight out of mad max or something. All it need is some rockets and machine guns.

Who thought it was a good idea to put an unprotected radiator right behind a slick on a track car? Or any car for that matter.

wow, did it really just sell for 4k? This would be really fun, Craig, lets do it. We will pull the motor out of my corolla and do it. I'm not kidding. If we can make it street legal, then why not? I will just put a stock 16valve in the corolla and call it good.
