Default Replacing Cabin Air Filter 2006 Impreza

Hey, I thought I would share some information and make a quick walk through on doing the cabin air filter replacement of a 2006 subaru impreza.
It is really easy.. and from doing a quick search I found varying information for the 06' with how many screws etc..

Here is the guide my air filter came with that goes to the 2006, the screw placements are accurate for my car.
The one thing it left out was a cable that needs to be unplugged to get the air filter out because it is in the way. It wasnt a type I have seen before so I put a picture of what it is and how to remove it:

The cable is the power cable for the air vent motor. Once you remove that you can slip the old filter out and put in the new one. Then redo everything in reverse.

Takes 10 minutes.
Good Luck! Mine is the stock filter of 33K miles, and it was very full of debris and dust. With the new filter the air flow is stronger on each of the 4 fan settings.

I see they haven't changed much since 2002... well, maybe the price of the OEM filters have.
