is your car MAF or MAP based? Should be very simple... vacuum lines you detached from the top section go back onto the intake.. if there is a MAF senor the injen should have a specific spot to screw it into. On my 2005 there were two lines from the air plume ontop they went into the two nubs ontop of the injen.. the MAF screwed in.. once the OE parts were out.. 5 min deal.

Edit: I think what you are calling the temp gauge is the Mass Air Flow Meter. Meaning you are MAF based. Been a while and I dont remember besides 04 off the top of my head the other MAP years. Anywhoo.. That is a very sensitive and gentile little friend. Be very careful with it or you will cause more trouble then the intake is worth.. Injens whole claim to fame on that piece is they keep the stock place and dimensions of the factory maf location. If it reached before.. it should reach now..

good luck..
