Sub frame spacers were removed to help with axel binding (which did wonders) but no roll-center kit yet so steering is a bit off geometry as far as caster angle. Lots and lots of cutting were needed to fit the wheels (I know ive lost sleep over it). The whole car was lowered for about 60 dollars and rides quite well, though this method obviously destroys factory struts quickly. The rims are 16x10 et+25 and tires are 205/55/16 for a great stretch.

Additionally I am not on said website, I was looking for a more forester friendly website but have not joined any as of yet.

This may not be the place to post suspension pictures but felt it may be helpful in visualizing what I have just explained.

any more pics of what you cut and removed? are ther more pics of the process of you doing this? I ask because I want to do this to the 99 forester i just bought. It would be cool if I had some insight as to what i need to cut and remove to make this work? Thanks in advanced

Lowwww: There was enough cutting to make one sick to their stomach (actually regret it a bit). I believe I have some engine bay pics before the holes were finished, though I imagine I will catch a lot of grief on here for hacking up a good car. Let me see what I can find.

Lowwww:
As promised here are some pictures during the tub process. These holes were then boxed in to keep water out of the engine bay and most importantly add support back to the frame but I wanted to show you these so you would have a better idea of what had to be cut. I do regret doing this since the car went back to stock eventually but I plan on keeping the car for a long time so it doesn’t bother me (car was bought pretty cheap). This obviously would significantly affect re-sale if you wanted to sell the car so make sure you will be keeping the car for a while before doing this. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks -Chris

The larger resolution photo on Flickr shows a 235/45-17 Star Spec tire, but since I read a VOLK decal on the wheel and no Brembos I assume it is still 5x100. Based on that there are a couple different sizes of Mag Blue Volk CE28's that would give that fitment. 17x8 et38, 17x8˝ et40, 17x9 et43 to name a few...
