Default seat covers?

I've been wondering about seat covers for my car. I don't want anything that has a design. Just the thought of seat covers at AutoZone make me say rice. I don't want it to have that look. I just want to keep my seats from wear and tear. Any reccomendations or ideas anyone?

Hopefully this is posted in the correct spot also.

I understand wanting to protect your seats from wear and tear...but I have to say I'm not a fan of car seat covers (me thinks me seats are too pretty to hide). I believe our owner's manual frowns upon them due to the side impact airbags in the seats.

The majority of wear and tear I see on most seats is due to getting in and out of the car. Because of this, I tend to 'step in' and put my weight on the floorboard...rather than sliding in and rubbing the seat. Sounds weird but it seems to be working. I hope this helps!

Also the "No food in the car" rule helps keep those seats clean.

Not cheap, but the route I will probably be taking. I know there is a photo around here somewhere of someone who has them. Unique mod thread maybe?

Remember that most covers won't allow for proper airbag deployment. The seats in your car should last you sometime if you simply take care of them and pay attention to the common wear areas like the left outer thigh and side bolster. Change the entry and exit pattern, stop rolling out of the car and actually step in and out

I have 105,000 miles on my original 2004 STis and they're still in great shape.

I have the wet okole seat covers (was tempted to get the pretty Hawaiian flowers but went with boring grey/ black.) They're a perfect fit for the seats and have cutouts on the sides for airbags, and keep my butt from freezing or cooking on the leather seats. The thickness of the neoprene does make you sit a little higher though.

I have Wet Okole on my seats, blue interior and black sides. They're awesome, nice padding and they have cutouts for the airbags.
