I have the Borla catback which deletes my resonator. The drone was bad when it was just the catback. Now That I have the headers installed I love the sound I have inside the cabin at highway speeds.

It is quite raspy as people are saying. I'm debating on a resonator. However I find the rasp is less when the engine is underload rather than a free rev out of gear. I should get a few drive by videos. It probably doesn't help that the iPhone doesn't offer great sound quality. It doesn't pick up the deep tones.

I'll try and report back with some better videos.

Vibrant super quiet resonator, place it in the same location as the stock blimp resonator, you should be fine.

A fellow Legacy owner in the NE region of the country is selling his Rallisport v2 header. It was installed on his 2009 Legacy 2.5T (AVO Turbo kit) great guy, clean upkeep on his car and the headers didnt see a full year >5000 miles easy. Check his thread out, I'm a fan of his car This is a COME UP for those waiting!

How many miles did you run it before you started to hear the substrate rattle? Just curious.

Not me but another Legacy owner just wanted to see what others are doing to remedy the problem.

Had anyone on here sold their headers privately. If so what was the going price?

Took a stab at it anyway.

I have read the previous pages. Just the last time I emailed him he said he was shipping it out Monday. I can't remember the exact date but it was mid-late October. Just want to make sure everything is ok.

Been getting alot of that as well. "Shipping it out next week", two weeks pass no response from emails until a few weeks after that.

And I ordered in February. YMMV.

I'm sure everything's okay, it sucks having to wait that long but he is just one guy making these for many people.

Has anyone here ordered in august or september and got his headers yet or at least knows how things are going with production? I'm just wondering since Mike said things would speed up by november and delay would be reduced significantly. I sent him an email just to know where I stand in the waiting list but no response. I have to admit I'm a little disappointed so far I expected a little more professionnalism. I get it he's alone in all this and must be crumbling under email and stuff but still... you send nearly 800$ to a random guy and three months later still no contact, I'm wondering if I should be worried.

There are people that ordered in February that still haven't gotten them. I order mine in May and still haven't gotten it so it's probably going to be a long wait.

Holy crap! Ok thanks for the heads up, that's the kind of info Mike should tell his customers tough. In late october he wrote on his FB page that if you ordered now you'd get your headers before christmas so I was guessing mine would get shipped soon.

I'm just wondering why he would say something like that if he has customers that have been waiting for nearly a year....

They are certainly worth waiting for, the craftsmanship is excellent. Being in the dark about it is a bit no bueno, but I know I'd rather someone took their time with assembly rather than pushed them out with less eye for detail.

On a side note, has anyone on here heard the different revisions of the headers in real life? I am curious if the length and merging of the primaries and secondaries changes the tone much.

Hey everyone.

I apologize for being MIA. Due to outside circumstances (family related), production this year slowed to a crawl and then grinded to a halt. I have taken steps to ensure that will never ever happen again. I never intended to purposely deceive anyone about the wait time, I was just hopelessly optimistic about being freed up to get back to work and it just didn't happen. What's done is done though and about a third of the customers on the waiting list opted to take a refund instead of continuing to wait and I do not blame them one bit.

I am now working around the clock to catch up. I'm cranking out headers and will be moving through what's left of the waiting list at a pretty good clip. I should be on to August orders in about three weeks, then spend a week or two on Sept orders, then a week on Oct orders, then a week on Nov orders, etc. If you do the math on my current work load, you'll see that orders placed now will be ready in two months. The customers that placed orders this year (previous to now) are the ones who have suffered and again, I just can not apologize enough.

I'm doing my best to chip away at the tremendous backlog of old emails, answer new emails and catch up on work. There have been days when I literally spend more time answering emails than physically working in the shop, so although I will be making an extra effort to make myself available here on the forum and answering emails, I'm really trying to concentrate on actual production. Adding to the frustration is arguably the worst webmail service (Godaddy) since the conception of the internet. If you have emailed me in the past and never received an answer, please try again.

With only a few exceptions, I have been fortunate enough to be blessed with the nicest, most patient and most understanding customers there are, and for that I am truly grateful.

Mike

I ordered mine in august its december now and ive sent emails to them for awhile and finally got a response saying it will take a little while longer. they should change the "three month" thing on there website so people dont get the wrong impression and get all excited only to become disappointed at how long it actually takes. Just a thought.
