The dyno is up and running. We've been practicing our skills getting vehicles on and off.

We are hosting a Grand Opening BBQ on September 25th from 10 am to 2-3ish pm.

Incase you don't know, we are located on 2727 S. West Temple in Salt Lake.

I'll post a flier and more information later today

No, I already invited him and he said he's going with me! Nothing is better then a Jesus tune.

We can tune, or you can bring a tuner. Either way, your car needs to be tech-ed by us.

who are you hiring to tune? I have heard lots of different rumors, just wondering who this guy/girl is.

The chances of us knowing his is pretty good on here. All though I haven't met any of you fine gentlemen yet I am assuming you are just starting to make a name for yourself here in the Utah suabru comunity.

BTW welcome and good luck!

Offering any kind of special prices for pulls on opening day? My stock 2.5i won't set the record for highest numbers... but I would like to get a baseline before I start the modding process.

Also, if you guys are going to be able to tune the 2.5i I may invest in a CAI after all. That plus a 91 octane tune should produce a respectable gain.

Does getting a "Jesus tune" involve painting a giant mural of the Virgin Mary on your hood? If so I know a few guys...

Also interested in 2.5i tuning. I'm thinking about stopping by Saturday and would love to see what your 2.5i puts down if you decide to go through with it.

All depends on the price they're asking for a few pulls.

I'd be happy with that as a baseline. I didn't buy the car for go-fast... done that before.

My Cobalt SS made a solid 240 to the wheels, which was more than enough for the things I did with it... while still returning 35MPG highway. Knew a lot of guys making more power than that, but to go beyond 240 things started getting really finicky b/c you were getting out of the stock blower's optimum boost range (10-16psi) and excess heat became the #1 problem. That and with the larger injectors required it was a bitch to get to idle right and the fuel mileage was pretty much ruined.

With the 2.5i I want to work on the suspension more than anything else... swap in some WRX/STI shocks, springs, swaybars... get a lighter set of 16's and better rubber. That will do more to improve the drivability of the car than adding power.

Besides, with the way the cops are around here I don't need a car that wants to do 100-120 on the freeway... because I'd do it. If I can get about 150 to the wheels that will be enough to keep the annoying ricers away without encouraging too much speed play.

Above 120, the cops can't legally pursue you. Just FYI.

Jesus is a great guy, don't get me wrong....but I think his tunes would be a little too conservative. I would think someone would want a Satan tune so their car would go like a bat out of hell.

Interesting... however it's still hard to outrun a radio or a camera.
