They can be had on eBay (same part) for $130 shipped. I just bought one. Subaru sells them for $160.

H501SSA101 is the part number for the auto dim mirror, w/ compass, w/out homelink. This is the revised part number for the new style of mirror which is more square compared to the rounded version Subaru used in earlier Imprezas. The earlier versions had some issues with the mirror breaking over time.

Desolate One - SubaruGenuineParts lists it for 2002 - 2007, so it should fit.

Byzantium is correct the install is really simple as long as you have map lights in your car; the wires to connect the mirror are already up there for the install.

^^ That link is for part number H501SSA101, if you click on the review it has the part number listed at the top.

After shipping you're probably at the same price, around $140, as the universal Gentex one $130 + the adapter for $11, but why not just get the one from Subaru designed for the car?

Not needed. It plugs into the existing wiring from your old one. If you ran a regular, non-powered mirror before, it comes with what you need.
