Default Idle switch/circuit trouble code on '92

My check engine light blinked a "42", which is a trouble code for idle switch or circuit. 1992 wagon, automatic. How/where can I check that out so I can solve the problem?
Thanks.

The idle control solenoid is a stepper motor that sits on the top of the intake manifold.

On the older cars, the idle switch is in the TPS.

Here's a copy & paste from my PM to you.

The idle switch is in the throttle position senser. Here's how to test/adjust the idle switch. If it doesn't adjust properly or you have problems afterwards, you may need to replace the TPS.
