Default easiest way to seperate engine block halves

Tearing down my ej20 with the spun bearing. I have all the bolts out, what is the easiest way to get the two engine halves apart. I'm sure Subaru used some type of sealant between the two halves. Chisel and hammer seams like the way to go but wanted to see if there was an easier way.
