If that's what he's doing, the time it's taking him to complete it should be testament enough to keep most people from doing it.

Thanks dude. Actually, I have a couple of sets of 05 BBS sitting around. I'll the silver ones powder coated, but I'm unsure of color yet. I'll leave the goldies alone. I have a half used set of Falkin 615's I'll put on for the time being.

My goal ultimately is to run some 17x8.5 RCT4's in white or bronze, but we'll see how finances go. I now have a wedding to pay for. Easily my favorite wheel out there and after seeing Tino's car in WRB and white, I'm sold. So fresh.

But yeah, I also need to get everything installed before picking nice wheels. The STi rear end in the wagon is a bit tight and makes wheel choices hard. The 05+ STi is 13mm wider PER SIDE than the wagon rear end which gets me into those fenders pretty quickly even with mild offset. The front won't be an issue.

RCT4's:

So what's going on with your car? Any progress on the motor? I thought you had a new motor going in right? Nice!

Are those the ID2000's? I've considered them. Strongly. I figure I could sell my ID1000's for ~400, but that would still leave me to find $600 for the 2000's.

Actually, I just need to find out which Bosch injectors those are and modify them myself. But with all of the ID's, they have ground off the part numbers so that you can't find out what Bosch part number they are originally.

One of these days I'll stop being lazy and call up Bosch and figure it all out.

EDIT: Is that your counter top? Do you have those in your possession? How much?

The axles I got with the swap were in pretty rough shape. There were some torn/cracking boots and a lot of heavy rust and flaking green paint on the outside of the joints. Otherwise, the joints were in fine working order and they looked good when I looked under the boots. I didn't want to buy new axles for a little lousy rust, so I decided to rebuild the ones I have.

I fixed the boots, repacked the joints, removed all corrosion, and repainted the joint housings. The rears are done, the fronts are in progress and will hopefully be done this weekend.

Here is one of the rears:

And before some joker points out that the small flanges that cover the seals are supposed to be gold in color, let me say that they are a PITA to remove or mask off. I could probably press them off, but it hardly seems worth it. They tend to corrode anyway so I just painted them too. I'll post up some before pictures of how rusted they were when i get home.

I tried to go to this site again and their account has been suspended. What was the price on these again? I remember it being cheap... like $190 bucks each or something. Either way, if that's the case, and they could work in a Subaru, they would be the cheapest and biggest injector by far.

600 lbs/hour = 6300 cc/minute

EDIT: I found them on another site: http://performance.vfnfiberglass.com...&productId=493

Looks like $188 for a 200 lb/hour injector. That's about 2100 cc/minute. Still cheaper than the ID2000's which run about $950 for ~2200 cc/minute, but I'm pretty certain the Morans would require at the least, new fuel rails (custom) and machining to the TGV's (it looks pretty large to fit in the normal hole. That's what she said.)

EDIT II: People are saying they are a drop in replacement for Bosch injectors, though I do not know what physical size Bosch Injectors.

They are also low impedance iirc, so you'd need an injector driver too.

The axle re-paint looks good.
