Default I need advice...

Alright so I recently bought a 2011 Subaru Impreza 2.5i for bout 20,000 from a Dealership.

It has about 2,300 miles now and i bought it with 15 miles.

I regret buying it now, With that money i coulda bought a 05-07 STi, And now im thinking of selling my car.... What do you guys think? Should i try and sell it and buy an STi or WRX or stay with the 2.5i

If your goal is speed and power, then sell it. If the car isn't fast enough for you now, it ain't ever gonna be. You can mod the car so that it brakes and handles as well as the STI, but you won't ever get that power out of it.

Do you own it outright, or still owe money on it?

All the bull**** processes and paperwork really isn't worth it. Enjoy the warranty, the 2.5i is a nice commuter car, definitely not a 'go-fast' car.

You probably got jobbed on that price if you paid 20k, but that's also because they couldn't make anything off the financing you didn't need.

I don't know what option packages are in the car, but 20k for a 2.5i seems high to me.

You're not going to sell the car for that much.

If you trade it in or sell it, you are going to take a decent hit from depreciation because you've gotten little use out of it, but the value drops the moment it's off the lot.

If you drive it for a couple of years your use vs. deprecaition balance will improve, and you could get a 2013 WRX with a trade-in and the money you saved between now and then.

If you want something sooner, you might consider a 2010 WRX. You may get a better deal for your trade because they can still sell your car for a good price, and they are looking to clear the '10s off their lots. If you are good without the fender flares on the '11s, then this might be a way to go too.
