Default 08+ STI and 2011 WRX fender badge

I have a 2011 WRX, does anyone have any good ideas/replacements for the ugly chrome fender badge? The R205 badge for the STI looks awesome and I really wish there was something like that for the WRX. I know I can pop it off and paint it black (which I'll probably end up doing) but just curious what everyone else has done.

Those are nice, but not worth 60 bucks. I would rather spend 5 bucks on a rattle can and 1 on painters tape. It's relatively easy.

The color matched looks really nice and it is not like the car needs additional STi logos visible.

Why should I ? I am not the one that thinks a trunk is a fender

That's a self inflicted for me. Confusing fender with rear trunk.

Or do what Heikki Kovalainen did @ the last race:

That's right, no safety crew needed, just give me an extinguisher.

Anywho back on topic. Those fender panels pop right off, so it would be pretty easy to take them off and then spray / re finish the badge.

I made a set out of an old plastic cutting board I had lying around. I melted the original ones under a halogen light trying to get some paint to dry faster. I made cardboard templates first so I could get the shape of the badge perfect. I then painted it gloss black. I applied a reflective white "STi" sticker then applied a few coats of satin clear over everything. The "STi" glows when light hits it at night.

I vote you either need to start making/selling these, or put out a good DIY tutorial. That's the best looking fender mold I have seen by far.

I'm sure your parts dept would get them for you.
