Default hard frontal crash pics

A friend of mine drilled a van that failed to stop for a stop sign with his 2011 Legacy. Notice how little damage there is to the passenger compartment. He actually was life-flighted due to what I have heard are back injuries. Not sure how fast he was going.

Wow! That is amazing!! What happened to the van? I can attest to the crash reliability as well. I know its not another car or an legacy but this is what happened when I crashed into a guard rail.

The Legacy actually caught fire but he was able to crawl out. Not sure who put out the fire as I haven't talked to him yet.

cars nowadays are just amazing...

I remember seeing a front end crash test of a new toyota camery vs. a 1970's pontiac bonneville, or something... The camery did exactly the same thing as this legacy, hardly any damage to the passenger compartment, and the pontiac was just awful, even the roof folded a bit.

This is just another reason I love subarus.

Just also wondering, how fast were they going??

Your friend is very lucky. Just like in the commercial, it saved his life
