Default Injecror piece help!!!

I have a set of 860cc witch hunter modified stock. As I was installing them on cylinder one the injector o-ring retainer fell off. This is the tan plastic ring the the rubber o-ring slides over. Has anyone had this problem? Do I need this ring? I had it seal in fine but I was just a little too worried. Please inputs greTly appreciated!!

The identical thing happened to me TWICE. The first time was on a set of helix injectors and the second was on a set of Deatschwerks. I was super super worried that even if the valves in my motor survived my turbo wouldn't. Fortunately when I started the car everything nothing bad happened either time. The first time this happened I had about 12,000 miles on the car and the second time I had about 17,000 on the car. I currently have 23,000 on the car with no issues whatsoever so I would say you should be fine too.

As for the injector, yes you 100% MUST have one of those tan plastic rings on the end or it will not spray correctly. I called witch hunter when this happened to my helix injectors and they confirmed this. I also called Deatschwerks just to be sure when it happened to my Deatschwerks injectors and they said the exact same thing. Give witch hunter a call and they will send you another.

Thanks, the tan piece actually did not come off it was just cut slightly from the fuel rail being pressed on it to lock in the injectors. They are currently in the car and I have started it and ran it to tune them. All the datalogs on rom raider appeared to be fine. I am running really good as of now and running 20 psi without any problems. I was just a little worried but it still snapped into the fuel rail as it was suppose with no leak and runs great.
