Three hundred was the with two year contract price over the summer if I remember right. In order to enter that contract into the system there has to be a code. I don't think there is one. There is also a full disclosure that you have to sign before the contract is valid. Did you get this phone at a Verizon store or third party vendor ? Like say a mall kiosk or wal Matt ? Sometimes saving a buck can end up costing a lot.
Didnt sign any disclosure or nothing. we got them thru the phone at verizon wireless. (611 customer service)

Well, clutch started slipping last night.

In a weird spot, I could easily put a new clutch in, but i don't want to waste money on that when my goal is to go 6spd, however, I just don't have the funds for a swap at this point, only got about $1500 saved up for the car projects, guess it's not a huge deal since I don't drive the car much anyways, I'll just drive it even less until I save up a couple more thousand dollars. So.. keep a heads up on 6spds for me Dale! Seriously... let me know if you see anything pop up at a reasonable price.

Was heading north on I-90 today near Erie and drove with about 5-6 modified STi's and a couple of fozzies. Most had a 48 hrs of tri-state stickers! Friendly dudes, clean white GR hatch with yellow fogs too.

Naturally I got into the same lane as them, then promptly exited to go visit my family. Maybe next time.

On an unrelated note: where does one in pgh go to have engine oil analyzed after a recent engine build?

Everyone I've ever seen get their oil analyzed has used Blackstone Labs. Don't know if there are local places to do it.

Tom. I did not see the j/k. I post almost exclusively via the droid ap. Didn't scroll down that far.

How about that game. I partied so hard that I fell asleep. Woke up an hour ago. lol!

actually the only guns i've ever seen over here in 5 years that were either on cops during the two manhunts we had, and our first 6 months here, some dude running down the alley in the middle of the winter, no shirt, chromed out pistol in one hand, holding his way too big pants up with the other. 3 mins later were sirens a couple blocks away. this "ghetto" doesn't get much action at all.

The mental image of that is freekin funny . I was there today. Looks like the "ghetto " is evolving into an extension of the strip district. It seems to be slowly creeping up Penn ave.

Certified like new replacement phones replace your used phone with another. If you were within the thirty day worry free the rep could have processed a return. You could then have walked into a store and picked up another. Bad luck is at you on this one. The motorolas have the lowest failure rate with the x at the very bottom. Most Droid X returns are from people that couldn't figure out how to use them. As far as discounts go the advertised prices..........
I deal with our Verizon contracts at work and we had 4 bad Driods out of the 12 we ordered for testing. The issues were all related to hardware. When Froyo was unleashed it bricked two others. We switched all the Driod X users to HTC Incredibles and we haven't had anymore issues. Now we are gearing up for the iphone. It's nice that Verizon is allowing New Every Two credits towards the device.

I can assure you the failure rate on the x is not 33%. LOL. They have been shipping with froyo pre loaded since at least late september. None of the manufacturers are immune. The incredible is great. Some other htc phones have been dropped because of the failure rate. I am not being an advocate for big red or motorola. Just repeating the data that I see.

My X bricked on the froyo update. I do believe I was in the minority though. I had great signal strength but something happened. I'll update via wifi if another large update comes down the pipe though.

Anyone looking for a set of Nitto NTO1 tires? I'm looking to trade that set I have for a set of 17x7, 7.5 or 8" wheels with a 5x100 bolt pattern. I'll sell the tires too, but if anyone has a set of wheels and would like trade for a nice set of NTO1's let me know. Finish on the wheels doesn't have to be good b/c I'd get them powder coated anyway, but they must be round! No bent lips, etc. Tire size is 275-40-17 and they have about 5/32" of tread left (new they have 6/32").

I know he has a girlfriend. So if he didn't have one before that would explain his MIA status of late.

i'm going with jumped car into orbit.
speaking of height: I'm still going the other way.

pulled the struts on the wagon to trim the bumpstops and check out how things are wearing, and i can now go ~1.25" lower than before!!(in winter height, wagon is at ~12.75" from fender to wheel center, F/R) measured the crap out on my sti coilovers, and to go any lower than the ~11.25" bottom of travel i was at PVGP with any sort of ride quality i'm going to need to cut off the lower strut ear brackets and reweld them higher up on the body, ~1.3" is the max i can gain from that, they only have ~5" of total travel to start with. and i will when i have the time. STi struts are ~1" shorter than stockers to start with. if i dont drop bilstein inserts in the stocker housings anyway. cause i'm moving all my cars to bilstein 36/46mm monotubes, so i can revalve/rebuild myself, mostly cause i don't like adjustable dampers, i've rode for years on konis and dont like them anymore, and bilsteins rock really hard. i dunno why i share this, but there's some info on how low you can go with stock sti dampers, and how to put something in it's working travel range i guess.
