Check. Normally you have to get the offer (ie..you have the other job) then you give your boss 2wks, if your company wants to keep you they will likely offer you a raise or better compensation package, it can be a sticky situation because you kinda want to go but now they are offering you more money, does it make it worth it, blah, blah..

When the company i used to work for was purchased, the aquiring company only kept everyone onboard long enough to transition somethings then let everyone go. Fortunately I got out before that happened.

It really depends on why the company was purchased and what your role is with the company. If your current employer is being purchased simply to aquire market share and the buyer plans on letting everyone go, then there is little reason to try and retain a particular employee. However, if the company is being acquired for its competitive advantage (intelectual property, expertise, processes, etc) and you are an important piece of those advangtages than it will be preferable to retain you rather than try and replace you. If you feel the latter is the case than you should use this as an opportunity to drive up your salary by playing offers against one another. JMO

Agreed about loud fuel pumps. Reminds me of this supercharged fox body I drove that had an unbelievably loud Aeromotive A1000 strapped to the rear underside. It was uhhh...fast!

Thanks for the input. I took the offer and am staying for the long haul. They bumped my salary pretty significantly, and also re-hired my boss who had quit last week. The raise is way over what the new company was willing and I retain my 4 years seniority so after one more year I get my third week of vacation.

I think you should change your profile to reflect the car you actually seem to enjoy working on.

I'm very very happy to welcome Team Illuminata Motorsport and their sponsorship of BRAID wheels

And no fagspec comments by you, Jason since they don't come in 18x10!

FWIW i chauffeured my gramma to the market today in the wagon and she liked the jdm seats, and said the ride was smooth(!!!?!) it's not. friggin civic rides so much nicer with similar wheel rates. blah.

Good fer you!

I have always viewed the 05 as the high water mark of that gen STi. Blocks seems stronger than the latter years and I like the look the most. An 05 with the 07 gear upgrade from ralli whoever would be great.

Hostile silence. Please forgive my frivolity. I tend to get a little loose when the weekend comes around. Something about having weekends off for the first time in 27 years that just gets me giddy.

I don't know who either is. But, I'd do the one on the right.

Did I get that right? What do I win?

As long as you don't know who either is you are good. If you know the one on the right exclusively then enjoy your collection of teen slasher movies, WWE action figures and coors light.

^^^If I didn't know you better Vern, I'd say that second picture was just before you opened a can of whoop ass! I'm not saying you couldn't, it would just take a lot given your demeanor.

You look extremely serious in that particular picture. Like your saying "What do you mean Hendrix sucked at playing guitar!"
