Question Specific Questions on the 04 Composite Intake Manifold

After a lengthly search here and elsewhere, I still have some outstanding questions. I already have the manifold, I don't have much $ into it so don't really care either way but will likely swap it in sometime this winter. This will be going onto the 2001 25RS.

Why:
-Taking stuff apart is fun.
-If I get a few ft-lbs out of it even better.
-I have it, it was cheap
-I can polish and coat the aluminium one without any downtime.

Questions:
-MAP sensor: On the 01 it is on top of the plenum. 04 it os on the Throttle body. Any issuses with this? Both 01 & 04 TB have the mounting point, but the 01 doesn't seem to go anywhere. Wiring comes from the rear so that shouldn't pose a problem.
-Obviously they bolt up, but how is the port size/shape compared to the 01 heads? Reworked heads aren't til next fall.
-Grounding: just ground stuff to the mounting flange bolts?
-Any other bits missing or not accounted for?
-For $10 worth of gaskets and a couple hours labour is this just a waste of time?

Thanks for your time. Flame away, but for the record, I read through page after page of speculation of how awesome this intake must be; found no real data and gave up.

I understood that the 05 manifold was the first with significant improvements

-04 was the original design, but injected molded plastic. Theory/speculation being that it would suffer less heat soak and have runner walls as smooth as if you botox'd a baby's butt.
-05 actually got a design change. Bigger plenum, longer runners, better entry.

Gotta love plastic engine parts. It's just companies trying to save a buck... they only find out later that is was a really bad idea.

Please explain. If it was such a bad idea, why go back to it on the 265?
