Default Differences between the SOHC and DOHC RSs

How can you VISUALLY know if a 2.5RS GC Engine (98-01) is DOHC or SOHC?

A friend wants to get another engine on his 99 RS, but he does not know how to tell if he is getting the SOHC or the DOHC.

Thanks.

SOHC has 2 cam sprockets. DOHC has 4 cam sprockets, look at the timing cover and count them up.

Well, you cannot physically see them through the timing covers, but just look for the circular cover where the cams would be. 2 = SOHC 4 = DOHC
