Ok guys here's the deal. I found a company here in Canada that'll do carbon fibre body parts for us. To make things cost effective, we'll need 10 people to get in.
Things that they can do: CF Hood (w/ integrated GT scoop) CF Trunk (w/ metal trunk locking etc) CF Front Bumper/Lip (looking to mold this off of an aftermarket bumper/lip combo) CF Lip, Side Skirts, Rear Valence. For example a CF hood w/ integrated hood scoop, if 10 people get in, it'll cost about $500US + shipping /each Any takers? I'll also need a straight GT hood w/o dings or dents to get the CF mold made from. Any volunteers? ![]()

I may be interested. After everything else is taken care of, I think a lip would be cool. Maybe even a hood...

I'd be very interested in the CF hood as long as it is similar to the stock hood... I DON'T want vents or a bigger hood scoop.
I'd also be interested in the lip, skirts, rear valence... as long as they are different than stock, but nothing too outrageous though. Would we be able to do colour carbon fiber parts? |

Also, what about some CF wings. The aftermarket wings for Legacies is quite limited . . . Not something too extreme, but also not something so blasee as the GT "wing". I'm not sure about a carbon fiber lip, though. My front bumper seems to impact on driveways and such around here fairly frequently. And CF+impact=byebye CF ![]() Jason |

Cajual - these are for basic black CF. CF like all other fibres are a weave, and it's best to get it painted so it doesn't absorb water.
These will be the GT replica hoods. However, I'd really like to get the hood scoop a little taller, maybe 1/4-1/2" |

Lip would be cool, but it'd have to follow the lines of the car well. I'd buy it.
I don't need a CF hood, though. But how about CF panels to replace the interior plastics (read: wood trim)? I'd buy that in a second no questions asked. -S |

Would all that ONLY fit a 2.5 GT? or would it fit my 95 L wagon?

obviously not the trunk, but a CF hood with a scoop would be much better than my regular flat boring blue hood

If you guys are worried about breaking front lips etc. as 2.5 GT mentioned just ask the company to make them with a carbon/aramid(kevlar) weave. The aramid will let the ground effects flex when it hits the ground instead of shattering like a carbon-only weave. Not only that but if I remember correctly aramid is actually a bit lighter than carbon. You can get them in different ratios of carbon to aramid also. With this in mind the hood would be best to be straight carbon so in the event of an accident it shatters instead of shearing through the windshield. Also make sure the parts are vacuum formed so that the epoxy is distributed evenly along the entire peice; some places do fibre parts the old school way and they don't come out as strong. I'd jump in on this deal with you guys, but I'm making my own custom parts without the hood scoop for a 96L wagon

Hiroki Tada - soon my friend, soon
Gotta get the B4 RSK pieces first... I myself down have a BE, so if someone in Japan does *hint hint* then it could be done ![]() CRAZY KEN - you asked about engine stuff Ken anyways, the lip will hopefully be very similar to the Greddy lip, however not as deep and also would have a vent. Looking at different JDM ones to see which would work best.Skirts + trunk etc will be made if we can get enough people. It'll definately put the Legacy on a diet to do the hood + trunk. monovich - Yeah that's what I'm thinking of right now too, real replacement CF trim. Is anyone willing to rip their fake wood and plastic out and lend it to me for a bit? I'll ask that company if they can do those pieces, and how many to make it cheap enough. jacobhorn - as above Cajul - as above imprezadan - hood will work, same as interior trim pieces, lip will work if you have a newer bumper jonnyjon - the lip would have the kevlar in there just in case (to add flex). I've seen other hoods done by this company and they look great (especially on the '02 M3 ) |

I can't rip my trim out right now. That'd be ghetto to drive around with no trim. Maybe we should hit a junk yard. But seriously, what are the odds that this would really happen?

monovich - with enough people interested, it can be done
I'm going to do a little searching around for Legacy interiors to see if I can get some trim pieces removed @ a wrecking yard, however not too many Subaru yards around here ![]() |

OK guys, initially parts will be made for the BD/BG (MY95-MY99). After those are done, then the BE/BH stuff (MY00-up) will follow.
biggreen96 - are those pieces on your car right now? or those extras? I'm sure fitment on the interior is the same on all the MY95-99 cars. We'll also need the power window pieces on the back two doors. |

Just got an idea. If you can make a lip, why not make a grille? Here's a pic of the best looking lip I've ever seen as well as the best looking grille I've ever seen.
food for thought. -s |

Those listed are all extra pieces i will let you use.
the pass. side window control will work in the rear pass. as well. I will remove my rear drivers side switch bezel. I like that lip that monovich posted, we should assemble all the pics of lips/skirts/rears we can find and vote on one. Chris |
