Default AC System from fire wall forward

Long story short, the replacement alternator I bought off eBay sits in the way of the AC belt. Instead of attempting to find a better fitting alternator that works, I'm just going to pull the AC system off the front end.

I'm tossing this up here for offers. The very least I'm looking for is to cover shipping. Anything more than that is gravy. I'm removing it and figured I would see if anyone needs the pieces before I just toss them in the scrap heap. Shipping would be from 20878, or the Silver Spring Greyhound Station.

This includes the following pieces:

Compressor
Hard lines from compressor to rubber lines
Hard lines from heat exchanger (radiator type thing in front of the coolant radiator)
Rubber lines to fire wall transition piece
Fire wall transition piece
Hard lines from firewall transition to dryer
Dryer
Lines from dryer to heat exchanger

There may be parts I am missing from this list. I will update it tomorrow when I have a chance to look in the engine bay, remove the parts/pieces and take a few photos of everything.

Shipping will likely be handled via freight, and the best option will be Greyhound Freight. I shipped a pair of rear seats for an incredible price using them, so I'd prefer to do the same for this transaction.

The system worked fine before the belts started to shred all the time. It will likely need to be refilled with R134a, but that is something you can pick up at Wal-Mart or any auto parts store and do yourself for cheap. It is just sitting there doing nothing currently, so why not remove 20lbs from the front end?

Post up or email me if you are interested. aj (dot) hinners @ gmail.com

Question Interested if...

Was wondering what year/make this is coming off from to see if some/all parts are compatible with my '06 WRX. What I'm really looking for is the liquid pipe or the pipe that runs to the evaporator.

Item 9. Apologies for the giant pic.

If all is well, I could pick up. Coming from 20855.

Item 11 - is there a small bracket NOT ATTACHED TO THE LINE that you can give me? I'll come pick it up with some beer of your choosing

How to remove and relieve the pressure in the AC system.

And all the parts and pieces available.

And pictures of everything:

Seriously, all I'm looking for is to have shipping paid for. Local pick up is even better! It goes to the scrap heap next weekend if no one wants it.

Take a look at the pictures and videos. I'm not sure if item 9 is available or not.

And the bracket is still currently in use by something else. Some sort of power connector and maybe another piece. I'll take another look tomorrow and let you know.

Yup, after looking at the line picture you posted it IS a separate piece BUT it's still on your car. I have a blockoff I made with my old FXT line (that was snapped ) you can have if you want to trade.

Snap a picture of your firewall where the AC lines went through, that'll give me everything I need to know in a single picture

Condenser and dryer are spoken for. Everything else is still available.

Ab, I'm working on that picture(s) of the firewall. I can get it this afternoon when I get home from work.

Thanks for posting pic/vids of the system as well as relieving the AC pressure (useful stuff). Looks like item 9 is probably designed differently in your make/model.
