Default Wheel Weight - Armourall Wheel Protectant Warning

Just wanted to let he community know that I sprayed my new wheels with Armourall Wheel Protectant before mounting them on the car. Let the wheels sit on the garage floor (face side up, back side down) and by morning the balance weights that had been stuck (glued) to the inside of the wheels had fallen off. It seems that the Armourall product had disolved the glue, allowing the weights to fall to the floor. Every one of them, on every wheel.

No idea if this problem is unique to the Armourall product or the particular brand of balance weights used by thetirerack.com, but beware.

well, that seems pretty dumb to make a wheel protectant that dissolves wheel weight glue. another win for armor-fail...

It seems to me that there is an organic solvent used to carry and disperse the actual wax/polymer used to protect the wheel from dust/dirt. Once the solvent evaporates, there is no more dissolving of adhesive. I was able to reattach the weights, hopefully in the correct positions since they fell straight down to the floor, below where they had been attached to the wheel.
