Yeah they used to "comb" it like once a month but not so much nowadays, as of last night it's in fairly bad condition, ad least for my settings, softer cars might be fair better.

Drew road is the bunny hill of dirt roads in the area though, theres not much elevation changes and the camber is relatively flat, so In a sense it is really boring and short if you looking for a rally stage. lol.

If you were looking for them, they went south to the forest. I tried calling max to see how they were doing with 9 cars in the forest, but I got no answer, so I can just assume max didn't make it.

Ya man can't wait to get it tuned and everything. Gonna clean everything up in the AM.

What was done this project:

coated hotside dom2.5 + oil line
removed mani to do GS inlet, phenolic spacers, tgv delete
coated and wrapped UR 2 bolt 38mm EWG
ported, coated, wrapped gtspec eql
wrapped my invidia dp
850 injectors
fuel pump
fmic
ebc
perrin big maf
SS brake lines (+ bleed brakes)
swift spec R springs with new strut hardware
saggy butt spacers

had to fix alot of random germlins we found on the car too! (which made it a bit longer than expected, but it makes me feel better that sh#t won't hit the fan one day)

I just ordered a hood delete and another additional 5mm spacers for all 4 wheels. Gonna try for more poke since I have better suspension now.

M@tt hasn't gotten back to me bout a tune tomorrow I wanna get tuned!!

I documented most of it with video and pictures.. might do a quick 3 minute movie with all the materials.

first impressions:

Still need to bleed my PS pump.. what a pita parking around boston with no PS.

My car sounds like an Evo when i accelerate. Car got even quieter than before.. can't hear my car's idle. Haven't opened up the WG yet.

Swift R springs feel sooo good. slightly taller than my Stechs, without the rubbing and sagging (spacers).

Better pick up a 3.5 or 5 bar map sensor to hold more boost And about the EVO, I understand. Mine growls but no more rumble and more quiet (kinda like it). If you have an EBCS, the EWG will flutter because the EBCS pulsates unlike the MBCs FYI.

BTW make sure the IWG door is shut 100% using the bracket. Mine was slightly open and was making a chattering sound. Leaking IWG door = less boost/spool

so, ive always been a big fan of the evo..but never more than the sti. ive reached the point where i believe my opinion has changed. lately ive been toying with the idea to putting my car up forsale and getting into an evo 9. after poking around of kbb.com i found out that my car is worth more than i currently owe on it, so selling it would allow me to pay off my loan and potentially get into an evo. ive got a number in my head, but im not sure how accurate it is. im trying to figure out how much i could get for the car, and if it would be worth it to me to sell it. id like some input as to how much you guys believe a fair asking price is for the car.

05 sti, 91k.

stock block
blouch td05 20g. (fully rebuilt 3k miles ago)
tial 44, on unknown up pipe
css catless downpipe, and midpipe.
greddy evo 2 axle back
css fmic with modified stock bypass valve.
DW 740 cc injectors (flow tested, matched, cleaned and recalibrated 3k miles ago)
perrin fuel rails and lines (3k miles old)
gimmick inlet
ks tech 73mm intake (3k miles old)
tgv deletes (3k miles old)
8mm spacers (3k miles old)
ngk 1 step colder plugs (3k miles old)
group-n motor mounts (3k miles old)
grimmspeed ebcs
grimmspeed AOS
new timing belt, tensioner and all pullys installed at 88k.
oil changed every 3k with rotella 5w40.
tuned by matt. the car made 352hp and 360 ftlbs last year...should be in the range on 380-385 now.

act sprung 6 puck (3k miles old...never launched)
stock fly wheel
group-n trans mount
TIC trans cross member bushings
torque solutions drive shaft bushings
motul fluids

endura-tech coil overs (3k miles old)
RCE front and rear sway bars
spherical rod ends for sway bar links
hawk pads front and rear
DBA rotors up front

wingless trunk
scoopless hood
limited lip
homemade front plate bracket

parts i own, but have not yet been installed...
whiteline strreing rack bushings
TIC rear diff mount bushings
kartboy rear outrigger bushings
kartboy rear lockdown bolts
kartboy short shifter
kartboy front stay bushing
kartboy rear stay bushing
TIC pivot bushings
TIC linkage bushings
torque solutions pitch stop mount
perrin light weight crank pully
grimmspeed 160 t-stat.
maddad boost and oil pressure gauges

im a master tech, and every single thing on this car has been done by me with the exception of the tune. as you all know, the car was keyed in oct of last year and totally repainted in dec of last year. it was off the road for months while i did the latest round of mods, so the paint is very fresh.

this is still fresh in my mind and i really need to weigh my options right now. the likelyhood of me actually going through with all this is slim...very slim, but..im looking for everyone opinion. if it does not happen, then the engine is getting build and the car will be getting caged...and all bets are off.
