Either way its a 2.5 with the stock cast pistons with weak ringlands. Doesn't matter who's car it is, cast pistons are cast pistons. All jared was saying is that with that turbo your ringlands are probably gonna crack.

It's still a sweet setup and you made awesome power on the dyno. Nothing wrong with some constructive criticism.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think he was alluding to the fact that his engine isn't exactly stock.

Just got on here. You guys Is crazies. If Poe wants to drive and enjoy. Blow up and throw in a motor more power to him. I'd much rather leave it if it's running fine till something does happen instead of opening another box of worms with pulling a pod motor and dropping a new motor.

I had them pull the old motor and assemble/install a built EJ25/EJ20 hybrid motor. The motor included:

- Used EJ255 case (thanks to my jew-nection Max Youmans)
- Mahle 99.75 4032 alloy forged pistons
- Eagle forged conrods
- New 09 OEM nitrided crank
- ACL standard main and HX rod bearings
- EJ205 heads rebuilt and chamber matched to EJ257 by ASF Machine
- Perrin V2 fuel rails
- Modded OEM injectors 850cc
- TGV deletes

I went with a PnP'd VF34 turbo, which spools to 21 psi at 2k RPMs and holds it until 5.5k RPMs after which it tapers down. I also went with an OEM flywheel, South Bend clutch kit, and GS lightweight crank pulley. The entire rotating assembly was also balanced to .01 grams.

Matt as always did a phenomenal job on the tune, and Tom did a fantastic job on the assembly. The car does not smoke, even at start up after sitting for a period of time. J&M Machine did the machine work on the block and got my clearances right where I asked them to be. ASF Machine made my heads look like pieces of art...those guys are truly experts when it comes to head work. I also want to thank Max for being patient with me in getting the gazillion small parts needed for this swap in a quickly and correctly the first time.

As for a ride? This wednesday I'm actually staying for the meet, so...yeah.
