Default anyone got pics of lowered 2nd gens w/ specs

Trying to figure out how to get my lego lower. Im thinking Stechs front and prodrives rear. IDK though.

Really need to see some pics. I just want the top of the tire within an inche of the fender. Id love to get coils and dump it but this car needs to be able to get around and still look/feel good.

You're in luck!! I lowered my car with JDM s-techs over this past summer! They weren't good on gravel, and bumpy roads, which there is a lot of in Iowa. So as of now I'm back to stock height. But here's some pics:

JDM Legacy GT-B Bilstein struts on JDM Legacy GT-B S-Tech springs

^Front

^Rear

I'd say about an inch gap in the front and if I got saggy but spacers I probably could have it about an inch gap in the back too.

If you do go with s-techs, I'd definitely use them with some stiffer aftermarket struts, not stock stuff. The Bilsteins really helped with mine. Actually if you want to, I could sell you the s-techs in these pictures. Right now they're just sitting in my basement. I think you could get some comfortable coilovers tho, I always get a little nervous about pushing any struts this low.

A. How much for the springs?

B. Ive been considering a set of used coils cause I just don't think I can get the Lego low enough with springs unless I do some snippy snippy witch never turns out good lol.

this car is seriously for getting me to and from work. No dirt roads, no auto X, no aggressive driving really. Just a 30 min drive twice a day. Idk why I even started modding this car but Im addicted and I like my cars excessively low.

I got the spoiler from a fellow subie owner over on sl-i.net in the legacy parts classifieds section. They pop up every once in a while when people are parting out their cars.

StyleWagon: I got the springs brand new never used. I used them for a little less than 4 months. I'm hoping for $100 + shipping. They even come with papers from japan showing they're JDM, lol.

hey everyone im lovin the drops on these 2nd gen Legos. i recently scooped a 96 outback GT as a daily driver and it needs to go lower like now haha. if i were to JUST get wrx springs without wrx struts and shocks how terrible would the ride quality be? i live in San Diego and the roads around here are not bad at all.

AND if i were to get stock wrx suspension, would it lower the car even a little bit?!

just wondering, im a noob when it comes to subies so any info or suggestions are great. thanks.

^^ it'll lower the car about an inch. Down to stock Legacy level as the Outback is higher.

Your best bet for cheap lowering is to pick up a full set of 04 WRX takeoff suspension - springs, shocks, tophats - already assembled and just bolt in. You can also use pretty much any coilover system designed for an Impreza. There are some exceptions but if you stick to certain years you don't have to mess with stuff much.

Or you could just copy sybir's outback setup.

To get back on topic, here's my wagon, lowered on KYB GR-2 shocks and King Springs Low. Wheels are gunmetal painted Impreza RS wheels, 16x7 w/ 205/55 R16 tires:
