Default SOLD!!!! (MD) 1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R

SOLD!!

My boyfriend (Pat, goes by slowWS6 on here) is selling his 1992 Sentra SE-R. Here's the ad :

1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R, 253,700 miles, 5th gear works. Don't be put off by the mileage -- this has been my daily driver for most of the past five years, so it has been well maintained.

JDM engine installed around 240K. I've only used Castrol or Mobil1 synthetics, transmission has Redline MT90. The transmission is from my old '93 SE-R (sold the car in 2001, owner got into an accident a few years ago, and I bought the transmission with Quaife inside last year).

Modifications:
Quaife limited slip differential
SSAC header
Some eBay cone filter
KYBs with Eibach Pro Kits
Machined factory flywheel
Prothane motor mounts
Whiteline offset front control arm bushings
Short shifter
NX2000 radiator
Stanza water pump pulley
Front stainless steel brake lines
Lightweight Miata battery
Porterfield R4S pads in front (new in June)

The good:
It's a Classic SE-R that some yo-boy ricer hasn't pimped out. Headliner is in excellent shape except for the sliding cover for the sunroof. Seats and carpet are in great shape -- one tiny hole in the passenger seat, but that's it. With the NX2000 radiator and Stanza water pump pulley, the needle on the temperature gauge stayed right in the middle when I did a track day in July on a 95-degree day. I drove it to Indiana and back in July with no issues at all, 30+ mpg. Cruise control, lights and signals all work fine.

The bad:
Sunroof flakey -- retracts sometimes but pops up all the time; one patch of faded paint on driver's door and one on the rear of the roof; front portion of hood is speckled from 18 years of rocks; various small dings and scratches but nothing major; dashboard cracked but I'll include a spare that's in excellent condition; AC removed (but that's a good thing if you're trying to save weight); paint on one wheel is flaking.

Maintenance since I've owned it: both front axles, both front wheel bearings, outer tie rod ends (in June), the fu*king water pump, Hitachi alternator (the good one), regrounded MAF, cat is from my old '92 that had just over 90,000 miles at the time, NGK spark plugs and wires, O2 sensor, coolant temp sensor, throttle position sensor, PCV valve ... probably other stuff I've just forgotten about.

Pictures of the car have Sentra E decklid that I had swapped out for weight savings. I have the original trunklid which of course I'll install if you want it.

$2,500 or best offer. No trades!! Clean title in hand.

E-mail me at patred48 "at" verizon "dot" net. I'm in Maryland near BWI airport.

Pat

I want to say it's an SR20VE (yes, that's a "V" and not a "D"), but I'm not positive. I will verify it though.

That's what I've heard. Christy Carlson (weathergrl from Nebraska, usually posts in the Motorsports forum) was running one at the RallyCross Nationals this year, IIRC.

i know, when we were in el salvador we had a brand new one of this body style, but it was a 2008 model. bought it with 0 kms! 4 door though and the motor/suspension was base base base. interior too, everything was base model.

love these things though. also i drove a black 2 door coupe from cali to va pulling a u-haul trailer on it, back in 2000.

ok sorry to thread jack.

He goes by "slowSER" on most other forums. I'd be surprised if he hasn't posted it on sr20-forum.

WOW If I had the money I would pick this up right away. There is a guy on south side that has an insanely clean boosted ser. I saw it twice this past summer and drooled both times.
