We installed one on a customers Evo 9 tonight with great results. He came to us for a tune and his stock bypass valve was leaking. We threw this puppy on and away it went. Extremely smooth operation. Nice subtle sound. Trouble and leak free operation. It is also very small which is great.

Do you guys, know if these ae steady closed under vacume, such as during idle? Some of us have issues with certain ones leaking at idle.

The more aggressive cams and duration/overlap, the worse of becomes.

I have kelfods 276IN/272EX for example.

From the post above I assume so?

Edit: I just spoke to Chris "i think" about these. They seem pretty sound designed.

On the evo we put it on, it stayed open at idle but of course it was set to recirculate (i do not believe you can vent to atmosphere with this piece)

I would assume it would stay open as well on a Subaru, but i have yet to install one. Anyone wanna give it a try?

The "classic" synapse blow off valve I have seen stay open on some cars, and stay shut without anything needed. Both. On the staying open cars an anti stall kit has solved the issues.

Can I then adapt the valve for use with a FMIC by changing the mount to just a pipe nipple?

If so, how much for that piece?

For 2010 WRX you have more than one option. On your TMIC you can fit both the new synapse diverter valve and the synapse BOV

I like how (it appears anyway) that there is a threaded insert for the intercooler and you clamp the product down with a nut into that. As much as people take these on and off, I've seen more than one person strip out the inside threads in the intercooler. You should SERIOUSLY consider just selling the nut and bolt combo to allow this design change to be used for any valve. I of course get 10 cents for each unit sold.

You just made me do a double take, this was apparently done at synapse since they kept swapping the intercoolers back and forth

The kit does NOT include these studs or nuts, and reuses the factory hardware to bolt to intercooler

So Mr. Unabomber capture that market and sell that ish
