Default 3" Maddad Whisper cat back dual tip for my 03' wagon

In need of a quiet exhaust for my 03'wrx wagon. As far as I have researched, the Maddad is the quietest going. I have a G200 on there now, and my better half hates it. She actually hates riding in the car because of the exhaust (I like it). But it is what it is, so the G200 has to go. Will trade only for a 3" Whisper dual tip (I know, not many up here). The G200 has about 600 miles on it, never seen rain, no scratches, no dents, shines like new. The G200 will stay on the car until I get a new one to replace it. I'll post to sell the G200 only after I have acquired a replacement. The car is not my daily so no new mileage will be put on. Hopefully someone wants to get rid of their quiet Maddad...

Good luck to ya :-D ... i've been trying to track down a good used maddad for 7 months now. I saw an axelback FS, not sure if it's still up

the prodrive is quiet also (not as quiet, but close) you can always throw in a 2nd resonator on the G200 and make it quiet, it'll need to be a chambered resonator to make it as quiet as the maddad.

Thanks for the info! Good luck to you too. I was hoping maybe someone wants to get rid of their dual tip. I see WTB's for the single. Oh well. Worth a shot. Any chance you know if Daddy's SCP has had a holiday sale in the past?

I like the G200, but if I'm going to go quiet, I'd rather have something that "looks" quiet... Just like my stock dual tip. I do like the look of it for some reason.

Good luck with that. I already was in contact with Rich @ Maddad and it's a no go. It is what it is.

The reason they are next to never on sale is because we don't have enough markup on them to have a sale. While that probably sounds crazy since they cost more than quite a few catbacks, its just the reality of how they are built and where they are built. It's also why there isn't the large dealer/reseller network like you see with other brands. We pay more to build them then many people pay for the catbacks. The thing is there is no way we would ever change how they are built. The imported German exhaust packing, the custom built canisters and inner baffles...at all pays off by way of an exhaust the meets or exceeds expectations and more importantly it stays that way through the full ownership. I always say the lowest cost exhaust is the last one you have to buy.

Wow thats a lot of exhausts! Maddad is quiet but still an authoritative sound when you are mid or WOT.

To the OP, I recommend just buying it new, you won't be dissappointed and you won't think you've spent too much. But, that's my opinion and I am a whisper owner, single tip.

Thanks for the info guys, and Rich for the reply. One of the best features of the Maddad is the dual tip IMO. The stock-ish look is so nice...

kenliu84 - does the maddad drone much in your wagon?

Gingertooth - remember me? How was that Greddy SE?

No drone at all, or I pay for your whisper. Like I said before, you might as well buy it new because I doubt you will find it for sale unless someone is returning their car to stock form. If you research enough, Rich has stated that he tests their catbacks with aftermarket downpipes in order to really eliminate the possibility of drone. I own a maddad metal essentials catted downpipe and the 3" whisper CBE. It is one of the best purchases I've ever made for my car, it is of great value to me eventhough I've paid around $1200 for this turboback. Quality, performance, the money back guarantee, service from Rich - value - and well worth the price.

Agreed, I was going to buy it new from Rich. When you look at it, all exhausts are around that price range. Plus buying from a small manufacturer is better for everyone. Just trying to decide if I'm going to keep the car or not lately. I baby it too much and am driving my Forester everywhere to not put miles on or get the WRX dirty... No sense of keeping a car if you don't use it, right? Plus the gf is getting closer and closer to ultimatum time, so the ring fund will prob need installments.

Cool, I hope things work out for you.

Don't quote me on this but there might be a whisper for the forester so if you only keep that, then you have that option. I'd say check maddad's website.
