GST, Crawford, us, and a few other time attack teams are all pretty close to that power level. Keeping coolant and oil temps at a reasonable level becomes a really big challenge. We can go 3-4 laps and then temps start to creep up.

yeah bhp range

OP: what kind of 'racecar' are you looking for? If talking road course, Harman Motive is a good example to follow.

If talking drag and meaning 900whp, then you should know a dyno is a dyno...you should be asking for set ups in a given time range.

Well, considering that most big number (1000+hp) cars are just dyno queens that might make a few 1/4 mile passes once or twice....
It's not very common to see Subarus used for things they really aren't built to excel at. (compared to Supras and big V8 cars, etc...)

If you want a dyno queen you can make any amount of HP with the right amount of money.
900-1000 useable, streetable, even track raceable HP? not seeing that happening very easily.

You want to build a 900hp car. Yet you are asking if anyone has done it. I seriously feel like you are full of **** on this build.

To quote the great jesse from TFTF. " you dont jump into the ring with Ali cuz you think you can box".

Good luck dude. I have my popcorn ready

We have made 870hp at the crank with air temp at 100* and 100* humidity and all under 40psi... it is not terribly hard. We have more head room for more power as well. Getting the power to the ground is another challenge. Good luck...

I was gonna say...when I saw the subject line, I thought, "isn't this one of things where, 'if you have to ask, you shouldn't be doing it?'"

but you never know, people surprise you sometimes....if this guy has the $$$, then anything is possible

to the OP: please start your thread, I'll definitely be interested in following it...

please for the love of all that is pure and holy in the world, don't just have them make a billet replica of the EJ block.

Thinking of the beautiful changes that could be made in the name of oiling...and if going with a billet crank, bearing widths
