Default new hybrid - has a drag while accelerating

i have accumulated approximately 60 miles on my new hybrid. (stock 2.0 heads, stock 2.5 block, OEM sti head gaskets) In any gear if i accelerate past 2500rpm it has a drag till about 4000rpm, unless i take it slow slow. it idles smooth at 700 or so rpm. any ideas? thanks

What do you mean it has a drag? does it feel like you have an anchor attatched to the car? It won't rev freely? How do you know it has a drag?

yeah like an anchor. the revs go up but the car feels like its being held back.

Does it rev freely in neutral and do revs rise and fall normally in neutral?

Its probablly not the engine causing it then and more likely to be a bind in the drivetrain somewhere.
