The obvious answer is to reread the instructions again and try it one more time.............

ok dude, i know why its coming up with numbers. When you use EcuFLash to open the rom...you have the find the rom you patched! You know how it says "make a copy of the rom and place it into the folder with the tinypatch.exe".

So now, you have to go to that specific "patch" folder where you placed your rom and open the rom from there.

I just patched my rom and the same thing happened and then i realized i was trying to open the "original" rom from my "roms folder"...since it has the same name, it will have the tinywrex patch but with weird numbers in it. you have to go to that new folder thats labeled by your ecu LCAXXXX....and using ecuflash, open that one.

hope you understand what i'm saying.

Simple answer:

Download a stock tune. This means a completely OEM tune from somewhere like here:
http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.p...patibilityList

Do not alter this tune in any way, just download the OEM tune and leave it alone.

Now, follow the tinywrex instructions to patch this vanilla, unaltered, OEM ROM.

Once it's been patched, open it up in ECUFlash to make sure everything looks good.

Once you verify that the ROM is in good shape and has been patched well, then open up your current tuned ROM and copy over the necessary tables.

I have patched many ROMs with varying degrees of success. Whenever things fail, going back to a vanilla OEM ROM, patching that, and then copying the tuned tables over has ALWAYS fixed the problem.

It may seem like a hassle, but honestly it only takes 10 minutes or so to copy over all of the tuned tables. It takes much less time to copy over the necessary tables than trying to debug why your tuned ROM won't accept the patch.

lots of little things that can go wrong man. Are you getting any kind of an error when you patch your rom?
