Default Difference between subaru owners

I use to own a nissan, honda, and toyota.... Now i have a 04 sti... What ive noticed is that with my subaru, other subaru owners wether im cruising or just simply parked and admiring my whip... They would compliment or give me advice. A bond between subaru owners. When i had my 'other cars' people either dogg you or rev up ( especially honda owners) to race. Is it just me that notices? Or my imagination... Just a thought, share some stories with me folks

I notice that myself. When I had my vw all people did was talk smack about my ride, especially Honda and Saturn drivers. In the Subaru it's no prob people especially Subaru owners are super cool.

I know what you are saying. I use to have a 2008 Nissan Sentra SER SPEC V, and I rarely ever got love. About a month ago I bought a lightening red 2009 WRX and now all I get is the Subie Love Wave and Nod!!!

i think most of it is because subaru owners arnt ricers and most of them know alot about thier cars.

honda drivers are the worst imo. when i had my integra most other honda drivers would always talk crap about everyone elses cars when thiers were the biggest POS ever.

having mature people to talk to is probley my favorite thing about owning a subaru.

I know what you saying man. I came from the world of hondas not too long ago (Im wasn't a ricer though) and I love the subaru community. It makes me feel good to flash my lights or give a wave to another subaru owner even if they are 60 years old driving a mid 90s outback and dont know why the hell im waving at them haha.

EXACTLY. i work at autozone and i talk to older people about subarus all the time. its nice to have a sports car that even older people like. just about every one that sees my car always tells me "i have always loved those things" and havent had anyone say anything bad to me about owning a subaru

I used to drive a DSM, and I noticed a difference between DSM drivers and Subaru drivers. Biggest thing I noticed, was all DSM drivers admit their cars are pieces of junk and are always on jackstands are are always needing to be worked on. I don't like honda drivers. Hondas are nice cars, and can be made to look real nice. However, most drivers rev their engines, as someone mentioned earlier. I do that sometimes, but only to hondas because even though my ride is stock, I know it's not a piece of ricer crap.

I don't believe DSM's are ricer cars either. They're just unreliable and always breaking. DSMers are generally nice and accepting of other racers/car builders.

I converted over to Subaru a few years ago and haven't looked back. Subaru = Love. Most subaru owners take real good care of their cars, they're mature, as mentioned previously, and they're usually willing to chat about their cars, or other cars for that matter. We all respect other subie owners/drivers. I love the subaru community.

Just my .02 cents.

I've only owned my WRX for a couple of weeks now and I have already noticed the Subaru love! I used to drive a '01 Celica GT-S and yes, every Honda wanted to mad dog and rev it at me. Maybe it's just that the Honda owners know they have no chance keeping up with a WRX/STI
