Default how would you build it?

hi guys, fairly new to the site (love it so far), i own a 2009 wrx which recently spun a rod bearing. i decided to go ahead and start a tear down of the engine and believe its time to go ahead and build it stronger. i have A budget, but its fairly reasonable, and have been able to find a couple spare blocks for a good price. my current thoughts are

ej257 bare block
new sti nitrided crank
eagle rods or sti rods as i hear they are forged and are good for some decent power
cp pistons(standard bore, 8.2 or 8.5 compression)
acl race bearings
new oil pump and water pump
new oem gasket kit
arp head studs

anything you guys would reccommend? my goals are 400-450 whp on pump sometime in the future, and while the engine is out i would like to go ahead and throw on some 1000cc injectors and colder plugs.

my real question is, if you where in the situation where a build was neccessary, how would you go about doing it? reccommendations for cranks, rods, pistons, turbos, injectors, cams, everything is welcome.

your whp goal is a bit for pump. That means you have to run a fairly large frame turbo. I would prefer running the turbo at near it's max and making like 20whp more than target power. This way the turbo isn't too large and gives you a better power band.

It's like pushing a GT3076R to 450whp on E85 or race fuel. yes you hit your target power and also good power in the lower revs. You run a GT35R on pump to make the same power output, but the powerband and curve is going to be start climbing later.

You can do Meth injection. That's up to you.

Your parts list looks fine. Pretty standard stuff. I'd do the aftermarket rods. I don't think your 09 has a factory oil cooler, but if it does replace it after a spun bearing.

no factory oil cooler, just doing my 09 wrx build atm
