Thumbs up

I just got great service from Bret (SubeTek) at Flatirons in Boulder. He installed my TXS Unichip and boost controller today. Bret is friendly and answered all my questions. I can definately recommend him. It was worth the drive. As a plus I got to "test it out" a little on the ride home.

I don't think there is a unichip tuner in Colorado. If you have to get your unichip tuned I think Cobb Tuning is moving to Salt Lake City sometime soon (if they haven't already).

So far I am very satisfied with the unichip. I don't think you'd be unhappy with an "off-the-shelf" kit (unless you are already unhappy with a unichip). I had a bit of pinging in 1st and 2nd on the first few pulls. However, it was a very hot day today and the car had been idiling while Bret adjusted the boost. The intercooler was heat soaked. Once he dialed in the boost, I put in some more gas, just in case I had a bad tank. Anyway, everything had been straightened out by the time I got home. The ECU may have pulled some timing, as Bret suggested it would. The car feels ALOT faster. It feels as driveable as stock, too.
