I had the SPT shifter as well and while the linkage is the same I personally like the knob height being a little shorter. The bushings made a huge difference so you could probably just do those if you're okay with the throw and knob height.

Edit: Ben you beat me to it!

I agree that the bushings are a major difference. I would definitely do those first and then see if you want a lower knob height or not.

Well, I decided to put my wheels up FS or Trade since they're just sitting around at the moment. I'm in no hurry at all to get rid of them. I wouldn't even mind stick with them. I'm just seeing what's out there....

Don't feel too bad, most people in college don't have a 2011 WRX.

That exhaust looks incredible! What is it? 2K for an axle back is a bit much tho unless its made of titanium..

Why the hell does Japan always have the good stuff and the North American models never get anything!

Think I'm still in line for the greddy considering its way less and u get more plus with their background I'm sure the quality will be the same

WOW, now that is a fine piece of A**!! That is a pretty penny for it though, but I wonder how much different it sounds from the SPT exhaust available here in North America.

EDIT: NVM, saw the link in FLEX'n's thread. Sounds really good, but not $2K nice though haha.

I think Maddad has a similar JDM style exhaust in quad tip. The street series.

The Maddad looks similar to the GReddy but not as nice. I think this one looks much nicer than either of those or anything else I've seen. The sound is very subdued and refined. Not boomy like the SPT version for the US market. I think too many people in the US just want a loud obnoxious exhaust so it's probably the right choice to keep this item JDM.

How much of that 2k is shipping. Im planning on going to Jpn next summer and wondering what kind of awesome JDM parts I might be able to bring back. Hood is too big, axel-back may be doable.

None of it. It's another $370 to ship it...

xluben, if you're serious on picking one up i got jdm parts coming in once a month regularly now that i sell for the gh/ge/gr/gv guys. i'm sure my price would be cheaper than retail (avojdm or japanparts) but that still would be a heck of a price tag for an axleback. let me know!

Thanks for the offer. I'm not really planning on getting it though. If I change my mind I will let you know.

What does everyone think of tint strips on the windshield? If I get tinted I'm wondering if that's worth doing. I think it might be useful, but it might look kind of goofy. Thoughts?

It's only considered cool if you put the brand of the car in giant letters across it.

I have a strip on mine and it is great for early morning driving.
