Thanks! I do think they look a bit small but the weight is great. The tires are real wide for a 255.

My wife thinks the wheels are too silver. She said I should PlastiDip them darker. Maybe I'll go that path eventually.

Very clean looking. Keep em silver IMO. Pops very well off dark paint.

Yeah I think it looks pretty good but I do like gunmetal color. My wife thinks they should be black but I'm not a fan of that. I'll probably leave them silver for a while.

There's charcoal now? That sounds like it might be perfect. I'll have to look into that.

This might be a question you're tired of answering. But other than the Transmission itself, did you have to swap anything else? Like axles, diff, driveshaft, etc.

I'm trying to swap an STi tranmission with r180 and trying to gather info on what I would need.

I'm torn between the Charcoal and Gunmetal. I'll have to do some more research on the differences and maybe even buy a couple cans to compare. I'm not in a huge run though. I actually like the silver look.

Well the great part of plasti is it peels off. If your feeling ambitious do two wheels one one and two the other... Then compare sides

With that being said... Silver ftw

I'd probably just spray them on a piece of test material. But I'll stick with silver for now.

I think the color/wheel looks perfect! I'm actually in the middle of painting my svn's silver for this summer, and my wife said the same thing. She thinks I should have never made them gold and left them black.

My wife is the same way. She hated the gold wheels. She likes the blacked out look I guess. I don't think I'll ever do black wheels. It's just too much black on a black car. On other colors I think it works better.

I'm fairly new to NASIOC, so this morning I stumbled across this thread for the first time. Umm... I had intended to leave for work about twenty minutes ago, but I've lost track of time reading this.

This car is fantastic. Simply amazing, and the ultimate sleeper-from-hell. I love how the exterior and interior are fairly stock- it's like that movie title,"What Lies Beneath." Under the hood lurks a monster. And as another poster pointed out, the child seat is boss. I'd love to see the look on some idiot's face running a turbo Golf who revs on this car, and then gets walked on by a hatchback with a kiddie seat.

Oh THERE you are Peter!

Seriously though, nice to see the RPF's on there. I've been debating what color to paint mine for months on end now cause I too am not a fan of how silver they are. I recently saw what I'd call a satin gunmetal finish on a S7 running a wheel similar to the RPF's(albeit much larger). Still no luck finding them on the web but I think that's about one of the best looking, certainly more unique finishes, I've seen in awhile. Black wouldn't go with the rest of the build vibe in my opinion but hey, that's why there's photoshop, look before you leap.

Mine are going to stay silver, at least for a while. I like it.
